Back in 2012, I joined Xtravirt. One of my colleagues was Darren Woollard (who works at Nutanix now). He knew that I had been blogging for a few years so while putting his vExpert application in, he asked me if I had ever applied for it. I didn’t even know that mere mortals like me can become vExperts and that one has to apply for it. He urged me to apply and I did. Little did I know that not only I will become a vExpert but will be able to enjoy the company of so many great contributors for all the years after that!
I am extremely honoured to be selected as a vExpert for the fourth year running today. I have no doubt in my mind that since becoming a vExpert for the first time, the hunger for me to contribute more to the community has only increased. It has also helped me in my career and let me develop with the community I interact with. Here is the vExpert list for this year.
For those reasons, I am very grateful to VMware, Corey, Eric and everyone else that works on this brilliant program. Long may it continue!
Congratulations Ather 4 times in a row, like you 4 years ago I didn’t know that mere mortals can apply and I’m thrilled to be on the list for the first time this year. Hope to see you at VMUG again.
Cheers Andy! See you at the next one!
